This is the Sierra Vista Public Library, not the chamber of commerce! http://www.ci.sierra-vista.az.us/cms1//index.php?option=com_content&task=section&id=22&Itemid=162 How did you mistake this building for the chamber of commerce? Haven't you been inside?

  • Fort Huachuca Tethered Aerostat Radar Site, watchdog (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
What wikipedia says about this blimp on it's Ft Huachuca page; The fort is also home to a radar-equipped aerostat, one of a series maintained for the Drug Enforcement Agency by Lockheed Martin. The aerostat is based northeast of Garden Canyon and, when extended, supports the DEA drug interdiction mission by detecting low-flying aircraft attempting to penetrate the United States.

Small and not much there, still dont lknow why they closed the main post library.
  • PT Goal-Star Point, watchdog (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
A compleatly annoying run, all uphill and the last bit over uneven ground. 40th SIG only runs to the T-Moble tower though, yeah I know big difference.
  • APFT 2 mile run start, watchdog (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
You got this part right, but the 1 mile and 2 mile points wrong. It's an easy mistake to make with this map, remember, the area where you turn to reach the final mark is down by JITC near the airfield t the end of the Apache-Flats road.
  • MP Radar Trap, watchdog (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
This is not the finish for the 2 mile run, the finish is further down the road near JITC, I have marked it on this map. This is Irwin which leads to the AIT area, PT test runs can be held on this road begining around the turn near clothing and sales, running to the cross roads just past this mark (1 mile) and turning back.
  • APFT 1 mile marker, watchdog (guest) wrote 18 years ago:
Having run this course many times, you have the marker in the wrong place, it should be just past the little frontage road, not before it.
